We all think Flash Info is great but don’t you wish you could pick and choose what kind of content gets sent by email to you?
Not so interested in job posts or missing cats? We have been tinkering with things in the back end of the website and we think we think we have the solution…
Flash Info is launching an automated summery newsletter based on specific categories that people can subscribe to designed around their personal interests. No more emails about missing cats for those who are not interested ( you know who you are ). These newsletters have also been scheduled around their urgency – Crime Alerts go out the instant something gets published while Events, General and Animals gets sent out only once a day if something new gets posted that falls in within that category. Safety & Security and Causes have a weekly newsletter each displaying all the incidents or stories reported during the week.
All articles will all still be posted immediately to Facebook and Twitter as before – thisonly affects the email subscription options.
At the bottom of this post is a sample of what the new newsletters looks like.
The existing database of subscribers has already been uploaded and each account has been subscribed to all the lists by default. You can change your subscription settings at any time by clicking on the “edit your subscription” link at the bottom of the new newsletter.
Please note that you will continue to receive the old instant notice each time anything is published until you unsubscribe from the old mailing list. You can unsubscribe from the old mailing list by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the old format email you received.
You need to do this yourself as Flash Info has no access to your personal subscription settings on the old system.
If you are new to flash Info and you are not subscribed to our newsletter yet you can simply fill in this list below according to your personal preferences:
