Guest House Manager wanted

We are looking for a vibrant and energetic person to manage the self catering guest cottages on the farm


  • Reservations both online and over telephone
  • Responding to emails and guest enquiries
  • Check-in and check-out of guests
  • Preparing invoices & processing payments
  • Assisting guests with recommending and booking activities (golf, wine tastings, restaurants & transfers)
  • General office administration
  • Data input into Pastel accounting system
  • Ensuring the smooth and efficient day-to-day operations of the guest cottages
  • Placing orders for housekeeping on a weekly basis or when necessary
  • Conduct weekly and monthly stock takes
  • Supervision of the housekeeping staff
  • Assisting the owner in daily farm duties


  • Fluent in English both written and verbal
  • Well-presented and excellent communication skills
  • Friendly, accurate and customer orientated
  • Passion for the hospitality service industry
  • Strong administrative skills
  • Good organizational skills and a self starter
  • A practical eye with a knowledge of how to mend basic everyday things – eg. change a plug and not scared to get hands dirty.
  • Team player
  • Must be able to work under pressure
  • Own transport, valid driver license
  • Must be willing to work public holidays and weekends
  • Computer literate with a basic knowledge of spreadsheets

This a live in position and a one bedroom cottage is provided on the farm
