Road Crossings and Closures – ABSA Cape Epic 2017

0 The riders use a section of Adderley Road (M58) and cross it twice – Traffic officers will be at intersection and where the riders come onto the road – 2km from the intersection (Intersection near Hoogekraal)
Stage 1 Traffic Officers will be positioned from outside Hermanus High School on Jose Burnman and Mountain Road – riders will be on this road – Vehicles won’t be able to access Mountain Road from Main Road (R43). Riders will also cross the R43 again roughly 5km from Stanford – Traffic officer will be stationed at the crossing.
Stage 2 Traffic Officers will be positioned from outside Hermanus High School on Jose Burnman and Mountain Road – riders will be on this road – Vehicles won’t be able to access Mountain Road from Main Road (R43). Riders will be crossing the Hemel en Aarde Pad roughly 1km before Newton Johnson Wines – Traffic officer will be positioned at the spot. Riders will then cross Hermanus Way and then Chavonnes Way in Caledon within 300m of each crossing – Traffic Officers will be positioned. Riders will then cross the R406 roughly 3.5km from the N2 intersection – Traffic officer will be positioned.
Stage 3 Local Marshals will be present on either side of Moravia Street in Genadendal – riders will use Moravia Street to enter and exit the Church Square. Riders will then cross Roos Avenue roughly 1km away from the centre of Greyton – Traffic officer will be positioned. Riders will then use Main Road in Greyton outside the Church – Traffic officers will be positioned on either side of the church. Riders will then cross the R406 roughly 1.5km outside the centre of Greyton – Traffic officer will be positioned. Riders will then cross the R406 roughly 2km after Oom Barrie’s Huisie towards Greyton.
Stage 4 Riders will use a section of Hoof Way in Botrivier – Traffic officers will be on both sides of where riders use the road.
Stage 5 Riders will cross the R321 twice, roughly 5.5km and 8km outside Grabouw – Traffic officers will be positioned at both crossings on the R321.
