Flight for Birders identification and conservation course

ffb

BirdLife Overberg will present the Flight for Birders identification and conservation course near Franschhoek on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 April 2016. Find the programme and registration form attached.

Kindly note that several requests from the Cape Winelands region have been received for the presentation of the course on weekdays and over weekends. For this reason the course will also be presented in Stellenbosch on Thursday 12 and Friday 13 May 2016. Detailed information on both these courses can be obtained from Elaine at mwjasser@mweb.co.za or 082 455 8402.

The contents of this specific course have been adapted in the following way:

  • Each individual course now focuses on local and regional species and conservation issues in the area where the course is being presented. The result of this is that roughly 65% of the Franschhoek course contents have been adapted to address regional Cape Winelands issues. This should give previous participants new insights into the wonders of birding in the area. Kindly consider participating.
  • The course now places heavy emphasis on the growth of birding tourism, with the result that people working in that industry, as well as product owners should be encouraged to participate.
  • It would be appreciated if you would consider posting this information in your publication. It is also on the Western Cape Birding Facebook page – kindly consider sharing it to your page.

Your support of this effort will be appreciated.
